What are the advantages of a wedding planner ?

What is so special about a wedding planner and why is it important to have a wedding supervisor ?

Some couples think, it is so easy to organize your own wedding. Just some phone calls and all is done. Somebody from the family can do the photos and some friends do play the music.

Just after some weeks you will see, it is not just as easy as that. There is lots more behind all the weddings: what about the whole set up ? When and where ? The Time Schedule of the wedding day ? What is included in the wedding menu and what needs to be added ? Where will the welcome drinks be served ? Where will the wedding dinner take place ? Outside ? Is there a back up for inside in case of not so nice weather ? What about the seating plan and all indications of allergies and vegetarians. Please also think of a smaller menu for the kids. Do you want canapées or better to start directly with the staters once seated ? Is a welcome drink necessary? If so, maybe just some aromatized water with lemon, grapefruit or berries.

Did you think of a special place for the wedding ceremony ? Who is delivering for all guests to sit down during the wedding ? Is a floral arch possible because of an uneven ground ? Think of shade for your guests. But do not use big umbrellas as they stand in the way for the fotografers. Maybe better to have some small Japanese umbrellas for the lovely ladies attending your ceremony.

Did you check on the fotografer ? Did he/she arrive ? Is he ready ? Does he know which fotos are the most relevant for you and your family? What happens if the booked time is not sufficient ? Is he just going away or can there be a deal for a longer stay ?

Who is putting up the decoration ? Somebody is needed to place name tags as well as menu cards on the table according to your seating plan.

And all the rest of the service partners ? Have the musicians found a plug for their instruments. Then they need shade. Where exactly has the DJ his positon ? Is there a dance floor ready ? Does he remember your wedding dance ? And yes, put him right next to the bar, that is where the guests will mingle when enjoying drinks and trying dance moves.

These are just some of the questions that are coming up into my mind while writing this article about wedding plannings. But these are some of the smaller details you need to look at and this is much easier when you have an outsider role. Do not ask your bridesmaid to look after it as she has already quite a lot of tasks to take care of you. And also not the bestman as he needs to calm down the groom. Have somebody at hand who has done all the organizations and now has all addresses and details in his mind or on his sheet of paper to control each single happening during the wedding day.

For bride and groom the meaning of a wedding supervisor means to go without concerns and anxiety into your big day. Just relax and enjoy yourself as well your guests. Concentrate to have fun und live your emotions without panicking about what is going on. As well the guests will appreciate to have an expert whom to rely on, so they do not need to run to the bride or groom for every single question.

Even much more important is to have a planning partner when considering a destination wedding. Somebody who lives in that country knows most probably much more about traditions and possibilities in that country and can help you to explain what customs are. We also can advise to integrate special dances or special food or other moments that are cute to experience in the destination country.

And another relevant point is the help with legal and burocratic steps to undertake for legal or church weddings. Better to have precise and correct information about which documents are needed.
